Mediating During Flu & Norovirus Season

The winter illnesses are upon us. It is the time of year when illnesses seem to be everywhere and our little ones get sick (and so generously bring these sicknesses home!). Daycares and workplaces may have lower attendance because families are at home recovering.

Does your parenting agreement plan for flu and cold season? Who is taking care of the children if one parent is sick? Are children who are currently well allowed to go to social events with these illnesses spreading? What events are allowed? How will the children be cared for if they do get sick? Will the children (and adults) be vaccinated, or is vaccination off the table? Will the children be able to take medicine or supplements (and if so, which ones are agreed to)? Will doctors be consulted, and which doctors? Do you and the other parent see eye-to-eye on health concerns, or maybe not at all? What if a child unfortunately has to be hospitalized for their illness?

There is a lot to consider when mediating health concerns for your precious little ones.

Don’t let the bitter cold prevent you from mediating these important issues. Virtual mediation means mediating from your cozy couch, maybe near a fireplace with hot cocoa or tea. Email Kelly today at Kelly@ragenmediation.com to set up your free 15-minute pre-mediation meeting.
